The best time to visit Dalat is during the Spring season which lasts from December until March. Hiking up Lang Biang mountain is a highly recommended activity by many travellers from all over the world since this trail is very clean, peaceful and varied. Taking a short drive out of the city centre, through some winding roads and fields of flowers to get to this mountain to Lang Biang mountain and you should prepare yourself to start the hike. This mountain rises 2,167 meters above sea level, the trail is nearly 5 kilometres longs with an elevation gain of approximately 650m and it might take about 2 hours to get up the summit. Standing on the top of the summit, you will definitely get unrivalled views of the rich agricultural region and indulge yourself into the alluring atmosphere before getting down at a relaxed pace.

There are several options to go from Dalat city centre to Truc Lam Pagoda but taking a cable car (around 4 kilometres) is one of the best choices of most travellers. On a sunny day, you will have a great chance to see farmland, locals' greenhouses, a big lake which is located between the vast pine forest before arriving Truc Lam Pagoda. There are a great number of waterfalls in Dalat which you will be amazed at. The nearest one is the Datanla waterfall which is situated only 6 km from Dalat city centre. However, it's no surprise that this one is the most touristy of all the falls. Another ideal option is Elephant Falls which is a bit further (30km) from Dalat city but it is definitely worth a visit as you will be blown away by the stunning scenery especially on a sunny day, you might have a chance to witness the gorgeous rainbows generated by the spray. The most impressive waterfall is Pongour Waterfall but it is also the furthest which takes around 50 km from the city centre of Dalat.

The white mixture of rice powder is poured into a pottery pancake pan; egg, shrimp or squid are dropped in the middle and sprinkled with spring onions.
