The best time to dive is from April till August when the weather is nice with mild temperature and visibility can go up to 30 metres. The majority of diving excursions in Nha Trang take place within Hon Mun, the first marine protected area in Vietnam. Hon Mun sea area is suitable for both snorkelling and scuba diving thanks to the various water depths and the considerable diversity of tropical fish and thriving coral reefs.

More than a sun-drenched city with stunning beaches, Nha Trang offers a number of great places for culture and history buffs where the evolution of the city is typified by impressive architectures and artworks. Each place gives tourists a unique insight into the various religions and diverse cultural influences in varying ages. It can be mentioned to Po Nagar Cham Towers, built by Cham people between the 7th and 12th centuries, Stone Church, designed by the French from the early 1920s, and Long Son Pagoda which is famous for the white statue of Buddha atop of the Trai Thuy mountain overlooking the entire city and the stunning bay.

Soaking up mineral mud in a bath is not a new experience in Nha Trang but a famous tourist "speciality" that travellers should not miss in this beach-side city. Mineral mud is exploited with modern equipment from the ground, with a depth of hundreds of meters and it is closely tested before putting into use. Nha Trang’s mineral mud is said to help remove dead cells, increase blood circulation, and provide useful minerals, moisture for healthy skin. Now the city provides the three best places where you can enjoy this therapeutic cleansing, including Thap Ba Hot Springs, I - Resort Hot Mineral Spring, and 100 Egg Mud Bath.

"Seafood"

Seafood (Hai San in Vietnamese) is what you can see in most of restaurants and eateries in every corner of Nha Trang city. Still keeping fresh when transferring from local fishing villages, seafood in Nha Trang offers in a list from familiar to strange type: squid, prawn, crab, urchin, shellfish and clam in all sizes and shapes. For a great experience, you should try at a seafood restaurant, choose your preferred sea creatures which are priced by weight and tell the kitchen how you want them cooked. The options usually are steamed, fried, barbecued with oil and onion or prepared in a hotpot. You can choose a restaurant along Tran Phu street which are extremely popular with tourists or if you’re seeking for something local, find eateries in small alleys and corners where local people opt for.

"Nem Nuong Ninh Hoa"

Nem Nuong is grilled pork roll which is usually served with rice paper wrappers, raw herbs, pickled green papaya and a special dipping sauce. This trademark dish of Ninh Hoa district is an eat-with-fingers type of dining experience and is now famous in Nha Trang thanks to the private recipe of the people here and the typical flavour is hard to find anywhere.

"Bun Sua"

Another delicious dish should be added to the list of Nha Trang cuisine, it is Bun Sua or jellyfish vermicelli. A bowl of jellyfish vermicelli with a clear, sweet broth made from ponyfish and pieces of thick and crunchy jellyfish served with fresh onion, boiled fish ball, chilli and herbs will give you the flavour of the sea.

"Goi Ca Mai"

One of the most delicious dishes in Nha Trang that you can easily find in any restaurant is goi ca mai (deep herring salad). Deep herring is a small fish, pure meat and especially no blood so eating is not as fishy as other fish salad. It is only used to make a salad, not to be used for any other dish.
