Naga Village - a piece of heaven
Located on the edge of a highway connecting Garut with Tasikmalaya, Naga Village is a traditional Sundanese hamlet notable for its traditional houses and strong tradition of preserving the way of life their ancestors. To reach the village, visitors have to descend several hundred steps before passing a stone path between a clear river and charming rice fields. There, you will see local green houses made of various bamboos and woods with thatched roofs from Nipah leafs, palm leafs or reeds. In Naga village, there’s no electricity and motorized vehicle. Villagers grew rice and vegetables in the surrounding fields in the traditional way. So if you’re looking for an authentic and exotic place in Garut, it is certainly worth a visit to Naga village.
