Witness the turtle laying their eggs along the beach on Selingan island
Selingan, one from three small islands in the Turtle Islands Park, offers tourists an amazing wildlife experience like nowhere in Malaysia: witnessing the turtle laying their eggs on the island's beach. When the sun has set and the night falls, green turtles and hawksbill turtles will come ashore to lay eggs. People will silently gather around the turtles, observe one of nature’s greatest moments under the guidance of the rangers in hushed tones, witness the eggs being carefully collected and removed to the hatchery then directly see how hatchlings are released back to the sea. In Selingan, it's possible to join this exciting night activity throughout the year. However, from July to October is the best time to experience, when the highest number of turtles come ashore for nesting and egg-laying.
