Admire sunrise views from Sarangkot
Starting your day off early in Sarangkot with an incredible view of the Nepal sunrise is one of the best local experiences you should never miss out when in Pokhara. Towering at an altitude of 1600 meters, the beautiful hill of Sarangkot offers an amazing sunrise vantage point for a panoramic sweep of the snow-capped Himalayan peaks, from Dhaulagiri (8167m) in the west to Lamjung (6983m) in the east. With a convenient 45-minute drive from Lakeside, you will reach the hilltop early in the morning and wait for the sun emerging from behind the mountains. As the first rays of the sun light up the Pokhara valley, you will see the peaceful Pokhara and the famous Annapurna mountain range gradually dying in the morning sun little by little, from darkness to a celestial gold. Don’t forget to grab your camera and capture the beauty of nature in its truest form. If you feel the viewing tower a little busy, take a walk further along to the grassy helicopter pad or look south for the view of the city Pokhara and its lake.
