Explore the unseen Pang Tong Palace in Mae Hong Son
One of the royal family's initiatives, Pang Tong Palace, was created to support agriculture in the Mae Hong Son region. Their goal was to encourage the villagers' local agriculture research, study, and development while exchanging the opium crops for modern agriculture, which would serve as their new and improved source of income. The place is more like a farm with lovely gardens, various fruit and coffee crops, sheep, horses, and other animals. A small zoo with wild cats, peacocks, and big birds like the fabled Hornbill is also present there.
