Palace of Pagaruyung
Pagaruyung Palace is the royal palace (istana) of the former Pagaruyung Kingdom in West Sumatra. After destroyed by fire several times, it has been rebuilt again and now serves as a museum and popular tourist attraction. The building was designed in Rumah Gadang (traditional house of Minangkabau) vernacular architectural style with three stories, a horn-like curved roof and a number of pillars. Inside the palace, visitors can admire over 100 replicas of Minang antique furniture and artifacts. Meanwhile, you can relax outside and enjoy the beautiful scenery of surrounding paddy fields and green hills.
