Semerup Hot Spring
Semerup Hot Spring is one of the popular tourist attraction located in Kerinci regency, Jambi. Covering an area of 76 square metres, this hot spring is heated by volcanic activity and always steaming hot with the smell of sulfur. When arriving at this place, visitors can see smoke over the surface or local people boiling eggs or bananas in the hot water. It is said that the temperature of the water is more than 100 degrees Celsius, but after the earthquake in 1995, it is about 85 degrees Celsius. Around the location, you can also find souvenir shops, bathrooms, and a swimming pool that can be used by tourists.
