Visit Fairy Falls & Serpent Falls in Danum Valley
Both located within the 130-million-year-old rainforest of Danum Valley, Fairy Falls and Serpent Falls are two highly recommended stops along the jungle hike to experience this mysterious and primeval reserve. Though not look like big or impressive, both waterfalls are scenic with flows of cool water cascading into natural rock pools from the height of 15 meters. If Fairy Falls gives you a deep sense of tranquility of a true tropical rainforest adventure, Serpent Waterfall is a worthy finale with the plume of water vapor surrounding your breaths. After hours of trekking through the forest, taking a refreshing dip in these pools is surely a must for explorers. Either sit on the rocks and dip your feet into the water. Just be aware of leeches as many exist in and around the water.
