Visit Pak Khlong Talat - Bangkok’s fascinating flower market
One of the world’s biggest flower markets, Pak Khlong Talat is a feast for the eyes and nostrils with a multicolored range of flowers, such as roses, ornate orchids, marigolds, and crisp carnations. The market is located by Chao Phraya River, near the south of Khlong Lot; hence its name literally means "the market on the mouth of the canal". Though opening 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, Pak Khlong Talat is busiest before dawn, when boats and trucks of flowers arrive from nearby provinces. The best part of visiting this place is walking along Chakkaraphet Road and watching locals quickly prepare sacred temple offerings, flower garlands, flower arrangement baskets, and towering stacks of fruits.
