We had an amazing two weeks in Thailand, starting with a few days in Bangkok, almost a week in the Chiang Mai area, and ending with a few days on Railay Beach. It was a customized trip for 4 of us, and Asia Tours and Ms. Nhi did a great job putting it together, making changes that we requested, and ensuring that everything went smoothly while we were in-country. Our tour guide (Tam) in Bangkok was exceptional - she was extremely knowledgeable, and wanted to make sure we were able to experience the local culture, with historical background, current information, and local cuisine and flavors (including Durian). The hikes and hill country around Chiang Mai are not to be missed, and we definitely recommend the cooking school and night markets. Although we had to book it on our own, spending a night at the elephant sanctuary at Chai Lai Orchid was a highlight of the trip, and Asia Tours facilitated working it into the itinerary. First, let me say that I usually never use travel agencies. I prefer to organize things myself. But on this trip we were bringing all our adult children and the logistics just seemed like a lot. So, I decided to employ Asia Tours to organize the trip. And I am so thankful I did. Mia was wonderful. She helped me put together a trip that was tailored exactly to what we were looking for in this vacation. We went to four different locations over 2 weeks. At each location we were met by a local tour guide and private car (always on time). Our local guides were all wonderful. Duke (Hanoi), Thanh (she goes by 'Yummy' - Hoi Ann) and Pattama (Bangkok) all did a great job of showing us around and making sure everything ran smoothly. They were all knowledgeable, fun and were an amazing resource for each area we visited. Our accommodations were excellent and all our excursions were exactly as we expected. Truly, the nicest thing was that when any small issues came up - we were immediately assisted by our local guides and Mia. I even left my IPad at one of our previous stops and they were able to arrange for me to get it back! It was truly a wonderful experience and I am so glad we used Asia Tours to organize the trip.
