08.00 AM: After breakfast at the hotel, our tour guide will come to the hotel and pick you up, then we will start the Hanoi city tour
 We will start with a visit to Ho Chi Minh Complex. Here you can visit the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum where the corpse of Uncle Ho kept there. Next you will visit the Presidential Palace - a nice French architecture in the garden and Ho Chi Minh House on stilt. Visiting the house you will see the simple life of Ho Chi Minh - the president in Vietnamese's spirit forever. We will finish this area with One Pillar Pagoda - one of the most attractions in Hanoi you cannot miss with the special in architecture.
Having lunch and you will continue to the Temple of Literature - The first University of Vietnam. The next destination will be Museum of Ethnology to learn more about Vietnam culture. Next we will explore Hanoi by traveling through the Old Quarter with 36 ancient streets in a traditional cyclo. This slow - speed tour will give your great chance to fully enjoy the classic and modern of the capital.     Explore the nature beauty of Tam Coc grottoes & Hoa Lu capital

8:30 AM: We start a scenic journey to Hoa Lu - Tam Coc in Ninh Binh province, 3 hours driving from Hanoi.
In Tam Coc, we will row the sampan to go along the river called Ngo Dong leading to the Tam Coc grottoes, you will see a range of green hills with rice fields at the base. The fields along with the Ngo Dong river change follow the season grain; before the harvest season, the color of the field is green but in harvesting it turns yellow. Along the way, our local guide will find best place to arrange a bit biking track for you. Say goodbye to Tam Coc, we will head to Hoa Lu, the capital of the Dinh and Early Le dynasties. Inside the place, we will see the Dinh - Le sanctuary, statues of the Emperors and many others historical relics. Then we head back to your hotel for check-in and relaxing the night.

Admire the river and rice paddies of Tam Coc

The natural landscape of Tam Coc runs in a small rowing boat plying the River Ngo Dong, where in addition to the impressive landscape we can also contemplate the rice fields. This zone of Vietnam has more than 350 hectares (including Tam Coc and Bich Dong).Undoubtedly the most impressive of Tam Coc are rice fields when at its best, with a bright green with yellow, ending in the beginning of the cliffs of the rock formations.We call the paddy fields of Tam Coc as the Green Sea.

08:00 AM: After a hearty breakfast at hotel, we will depart to Mai Hich, Mai Chau. Along the way, enjoy the ride through the paddy fields of the Old Doai village and street-side village markets. Take a stop at Thung Khe Pass to observe the landscape of the valleys and hills. Stop for lunch with traditional cuisine at the picturesque Lac village. Have a stroll around the village for a while if you like before getting back in car for deeper way to Mai Hich village, a small quiet village offers gorgeous landscapes of jungles, the peaceful beauty of the countryside culture.
Arrive in Mai Hich and be greeted by the village hosts. Receive your room and have a short rest until mid afternoon, cycle or walk around the villages to enjoy the beauty of the surrounding nature and rural activities in action, including houses-on-stilt, fish ponds, low terrace paddy fields, and so on. Observe and experience daily farming routines of local farmers. 
Evening, have a home-cooked dinner with local specialties made of fresh ingredients enjoy local rice wine.

Bamboo rafting on Xia river

Mai Hich is a unique valley in the peaceful edge of Mai Chau. It is rather famous for beautiful mountainous landscape, seasonal crops and especially bamboo rafting activities on Xia river. It should be a must if you want to experience rafting in the middle of natural an refreshing atmosphere with tree shade near you. Note that you can possibly get wet during your trip as the rafts were made by connecting long bamboo sticks to each other and water can splash through the gaps between the sticks and get you wet, comfortable outfits are highly recommend to enjoy the activity the most.

    Transfer to Tu Le, en-route visit Thanh Son tea plantation in Phu Tho

After early breakfast, we leave Mai Hich for a full day transfering from Mai Hich to Tu Le, Yen Bai. On the way, we will pass by Thanh Son tea plantation in Phu Tho province. Do not miss to enjoy stunning views over the valleys and tea plantations as well as get your opportunity to meet some of the women that work as tea pickers, who showed us how tea leaves are picked. Check-in your homestay and have dinner then. Overnight in Tu Le.

The lower mountain slopes of Phu Tho are swathed in millions of tea bushes. A visit to Thanh Son plantation is a defining experience of a roadtrip up North of the country. Free until check out your homestay at midmorning. Today we head out of Mu Cang Chai to Sin Ho, Lai Chau. Unlike other famous mountain retreats which are enormously popular with tourists, Sin Ho is hardly ever explored by travellers. It reserves a beauty unmatched by any other highland in the North. This highland town is connected with neighboring areas by lofty mountain passes, affording spectacular views over a landscape on a scale not found anywhere else in Vietnam. The winding roads to Lai Chau along could get ups and downs but the exotic sceneries on both sides make it an intriguing journey. Reach Sin Ho after roughly 4-5 hours, freshen up and get acquaintance with local life with your hosts in the indigenous dinner.

    Sneak through Cloudy Hill, trek through Pu Dao ethnic village, visit O Rock Mountain & mansion of Thai King

Morning we set off early to catch magical scenery on Cloudy hill. Then you will discover the scenic Pu Dao ethnic village, meet locals in their casual daily life activities. After having lunch break, we continue to visit O Rock Mountain &  and the mansion of Thai King which was built inside down 3 Nam Na River and the Black River, behind the high mountain in front of the wide river, stood in the palace area can observe all activities of a waterways and lands Muong Lay, in which the throat position can control the path to Phong Tho, Sapa, Muong Te and downstream of Peace as well as by way of Dien Bien to Laos. Later on, back to your homestay for dinner and night refreshment.

Chasing clouds in Sin Ho villages

Sin Ho town is located on the highest peak of the Sin Ho plateau in Lai Chau province, over 2,000m above sea level, and surrounded by verdant mountain ranges and clouds. In early morning, you can be overwhelmed in a sea of white clouds which is typically magical scenes in the area. The town looks poetic filled with villages up and down the mountains. Setting a walk through the ethnic villages dotted by simple wooden houses, you can see Dao women sitting on their thresholds in their front yards or under the fruit trees sewing passionately or farmers loading up with many kinds of farm products down the roads.

    Admire breath-taking view from O Quy Ho Pass, explore around Sin Chai village, visit Red Dao people

After having breakfast in the local family, pack  your luggage up and we will go further towards Lao Cai area. On the way today there are a lot of nice terrace fields where you may have the best photos. We will stop on the way for communicate with local people to understand their life with the help of our guide.
There are so many ethnic minorities in that area and their way of life are very different from the people in the city or the plain. So do be surprised when even driver or guide cannot communicate with them as some of them may only speak a bit Vietnamese. However, today is a day with no touristic area. The highlight today is also passing the one of the four highest pass in Vietnam – O Quy Ho with several stops for magnificent landscapes of Fansipan, Sin Chai valley and especially amazing flower and vegetable farms. Check in your homestay in Sin Chai village then continue the walk around the village of Red Dao minority. This short trek allows you to see the pristine village at close and interact with locals who are willing to take their time to share you textile weaving and dying technique. You can take a walk to explore local daily life while your dinner will be served with local specialties at homestay.

Conquer the daunting O Quy Ho mountain pass

O Quy Ho Pass is the king of pass at Vietnam and stand at the first of “4 great pass of Vietnam” which connects two Northern provinces of Lao Cai and Lai Chau. Coming through the pass, it is quite interesting to experience different weather types at almost same time (the side of Lao Cai is misty, the side of Lai Chau is sunny). From the pass, we can admire the imposing panorama of Fansipan mountain and Lai Chau’s beautiful valleys below blessed by nature. Wake up and enjoy your breakfast in the mountain with the fresh air and sound of nature. You will then pack up and ready for the off-the-beaten-track hike to Thanh Kim village. The steep trail might make you feel tired but the compensation is the fantastic view of the beneath valleys and the interest of explore the rich biodiversity of the mountains. This is the perfect opportunities to explore the natural life of ethnic minority groups living in the mountains. 
After enjoying your picnic lunch, you take a descent to Ban Ho, a pretty village of Tay ethnic locating by the Muong Bo River. The Tay ethnic is famous with beautiful tradition house on stilts and their cuisine. The Lavie waterfall, which is few hundred meters from village, is a nice option to enjoy your late afternoon by swimming in the fresh clean water.

Join a fancy trek to discover Thanh Kim village

Hiding so far from the busy town of Sapa is Thanh Kim village, a very small collection of homes perched on the valley side amongst shady trees above the rice terraces. Enjoy your idyllic day slowly working our way towards the mountains and down the valley side, no-one around except a few villagers (Red Dao) going about their business and lively schoolchildren, a few grazing animals making up movements in the landscape. If lucky enough, you may come upon clouds of colourful butterflies feasting on the flowers along the way.

    Visit ethnic people up and down hills of Nam Toong, My Son & Thanh Phu villages

Your trek today is another challenge of going up and down in the mountain side. Leave a beautiful village of Ban Ho, you will first hike uphill to Nam Toong village of Red Dao minority. The astounding scenery and landscape will soon spread out in your eyes. Along the way you might encounter with some interesting local villagers working in their farm. A delicious lunch is waiting for you in local house with friendly hosts.
After lunchtime, you descend to the valley where locates My Son village of Xa Pho minority, one of the smallest groups ethnic in Northern Vietnam. From there you take a short walk to Thanh Phu village of Tay minority. Your trek will be mostly downhill then. After about half an hour, you will have an opportunity to enjoy one of the most beautiful views of days over a green valley lying along the Red River. You eventually arrive in Ta Thang village of Tay minority. Here you will be transferred by car back to Lao Cai.

Uncover the outstanding village of Thanh Phu on foot

Lying at the southern edge of Sapa about 35km from town, Thanh Phu Village is among the most remote villages and home to the Tay Minority, one of the earliest known minorities in Vietnam. As with most Tay villages, Thanh Phu is  based at the foot of two mountain ranges and is  named after the tallest peak in the area. One of interesting way to explore Thanh Phu Village that is trekking through the green valleys, streams, forests and buffalo trails through rice terraces while taking in tranquil atmosphere.

    Join the vibrant ethnic Bac Ha market, Walk down Ban Pho village, explore Hoang A Tuong Mansion

After having breakfast, we will set off a drive to Bac Ha Market. In the Market, we will see the local selling and exchanging their goods and products, witness the traditional clothes and daily custom of them.
Next, en-route we recommend you to visit H’mong King’s palace, an old building built by the French and Chinese. The afternoon time is devoted to a light trekking to a village of Flower H’mong minority, Ban Pho. Local families will welcome and offer you some green tea, corn wine and short brief of their custom. 
We then will move to visit a strange and gloomy Hoang A Tuong Mansion, which used to be the most powerful house holding many old-time stories over 100 years of history. As the sun is about to set, enjoy dramatic landscapes of the way while getting back to Bac Ha for dinner and your homestay for night relaxation.

When taking the trip to the the West North of Vietnam, Bac Ha Market is a special experience  of your holiday which should not to be missed. The colorful market opens only on Sunday in Bac Ha - a rural district of Lao Cai province in the Northeastern region of Vietnam which is home of Flower H’mong Tribe, one of the 54 minorities of Vietnam.It is your great chance to enjoy beautiful mountainous scenes and rice paddy fields on the way to the site. The minority people in their traditional dress come to the market to shop and socialize once a week as well as sell their wares. You will observe the local selling and exchanging their goods and products, witness the traditional clothes and sense the custom in the unique place. From the puppies, for sale, to the buffalo, chicken and pigs, from home made rice wine to fresh meat/veggie, Hmong textiles and clothes, the market will give you a wonderful taste of mountainous area in your Vietnam Holiday.

- Get your camera ready to take photos. Comfort break. The time from Hanoi to Halong bay is approximately 3 ½ hours.

- Arriving Tuan Chau marina. Welcome aboard the cruise. Refresh with our welcome drink. Meet the captain, crew in the cruise briefing.
- Check into your cabin. Time to refresh and unwind
