08.00 AM: After breakfast at your hotel, our tour guide and driver will pick you up and just after a short drive of nearly 2 hours, you will arrive Thai Nguyen.

We will visit the Thai Nguyen Museum of Ethnology to learn about the hill tribes in the mountainous region of northern Vietnam, and then continue our journey to Cho Ra and enjoy picturesque landscapes along the way. After that, we have lunch in Cho Ra Town in a local restaurant.

In the afternoon, we head to Ba Be and spend the rest of the afternoon exploring the amazing Ba Be National Park on a local boat. The views consist of stunning karst formations all around you covered with patches of wild vegetation and rich wildlife.

After the tour, we will then transfer you to your accommodation at Ba Be, take a rest before having your traditional dinner.

Gain an insight into ethnic cultures when visit the Museum of Ethnology Thai Nguyen

Make sure that you visit the Cultural Museum of Vietnamese Ethnic Groups. It's definitely worth stopping here for at least an hour to have a perfect introduction and excellent insight into ethnic cultures, way of life and tradition. Take the first-hand experience to see a full of lovely examples of ethnic minority costumes, other artifacts from their day-to-day lives and relevant photographs; all just a joy a look at. Outside there are a few examples of ethnic buildings, including an amazing community house with the most startling roof elevation. They will absolutely satisfy your curiosity.

Ba Be National Park was established as a national park in 1992 (often referred to as the Ba Be Lakes). It is known as a heaven of extraordinary scenery, fascinating biodiversity, and rich culture. One of the best ways to experience its incredible beauty is from the water. Easily take a local boat and explore the rivers, lakes, and caves that make up this area of stunning beauty.

    Explore Hua Ma Cave, Transfer from Bac Kan to Bao Lac, Walk around Bao Lac village

08.00 AM: After your breakfast, we will pay a visit to Hua Ma Cave by bike. Hua Ma Cave is a beautiful cave with its mysterious legend and impressive stalactites. All these stalactites were formed over millions of years which makes Hua Ma Cave not only a beautiful spot but also an interesting site for those who research geology.

Afterwards, we will continue driving nearly 40km to Ha Hieu to capture some outstanding photos of mighty terraced rice fields and spectacular mountain views. We will then continue driving to Bao Lac through Tinh Tuc village which will show you a way of life that has continued unchanged for hundreds of years. Lunch along the way.
 
After lunch, we will drive along the Gam River up to a steep mountain and explore the remote lands between Cao Bang to Bao Lac – a small town in the mountainous region of Northern Vietnam. This area is home to the Black Lo Lo ethnic group. Take an hour walk around the village of the ethnic people with our guide, then back to your accommodation, relax and ready for the dinner.

Discover Hua Ma Cave which is one of Ba Be's most popular off-the-water sights

Hua Ma Cave (Horse's head) is well known for its untouched and enigmatic beauty. When you enter the cave, you will be amazed by plenty of beautiful stalactites and stalagmites in various shapes and size such as flowers, small towers, a formal court of mandarins in the feudal time, etc. All of them has been naturally shaped during the many-thousand-year process of geological changes. That's why Hua Ma Cave is not only a beautiful spot but also a mysterious destination that you will definitely want to visit.

    Boat along Nho Que River, Stop at Ma Pi Leng Pass

08.00 AM: After your breakfast, we will say goodbye Bao Lac for the trip to Dong Van. During the drive, you will be amazed by the fascinating sceneries of this route. Lunch at the local restaurant along the way.

Transfer to Meo Vac and if the weather is nice, you can have a great opportunity to take a boat tour along the Nho Que River. After the boat tour, you will be stopped at Ma Pi Leng Pass to immerse in the magnificent and spectacular views.

The tour ultimately arrives in Dong Van where you can take your free time to explore the ancient street of Dong Van before having your dinner (arrange it yourself).

Conquering the breathtaking Ma Pi Leng Pass in Meo Vac

The Ma Pi Leng Pass is a high mountain pass at an elevation of 1.500m (4,921ft) above the sea level. This pass is located on the Happiness Road connecting Dong Van and Meo Vac with a length of about 20 km. The name of this pass is the name of the most dangerous road in Vietnam, in the province of Ha Giang. Being one of the "four great mountains passes" in the mountains of northern Vietnam, next to O Quy Ho Pass, Khau Pha Pass and Pha Din Pass, Ma Pi Leng has become an indispensable destination whenever referring to Ha Giang. It's said to be the most breathtaking mountain road in all of Vietnam and words can't even describe how amazing this pass is. You will be amazed by the fascinating sceneries of this pass and have a precious opportunity to capture spectacular photos.

Immerse in the outstanding views of Nho Que River

Tucked away along the picturesque Dong Van Karst Plateau, the winding Nho Que River flows like green thread shimmering north from heaven. It runs along the border for 16.4 km then into Vietnam through Lung Cu Commune in Ha Giang into Gam River in Cao Bang Province. Visiting Nho Que River and simply taking a local boat to immerse in the splendid and terrific beauty of Nho Que River.     Visit Lung Cu Flag Tower, Hmong Royal Palace & Lung Tam Village

07.30 AM: After your breakfast, you will be transferred to Lung Cu which takes a short drive of 1 hour 30 minutes. Lung Cu is not only the northernmost point of Vietnam but also it has long been a sacred image in the heart of every Vietnamese land.

We will continue to Hmong Royal Palace which is the historical palace of the Vuong family who ruled over the region and controlled opium production and trade until 1945. You also have lunch on the way.

After lunch, you will then continue the journey to Lung Tam Village where has a long-standing traditional craft of brocade weaving that contributes to preserving the traditional culture of the Mong ethnic people living in this mountainous area.

Our driver will then take you from Lung Tam Village to your accommodation in Quan Ba and enjoy the traditional specialities in your dinner.

Experience hemp weaving in Lung Tam village

Lung Tam village in Lung Tam Commune is tucked away under the foot of hills in Quan Ba District in Ha Giang Province. This village is known for its long-standing traditional craft of brocade weaving. The art of making linen fabric has been passing from generations to generations in Lung Tam. Visiting the village, you will see linen products everywhere: drying out in the sun, whirring on family looms, and also have a fascinating opportunity to get a better knowledge of how to make linen fabric, interact with Hmong women and try to weave hemp.

Admiring the beauty of Ha Giang from the northernmost Lung Cu Flag Tower

Lung Cu Flag Tower has long been a sacred image in the heart of every Vietnamese land. It is known as a national flagpole located at the top of Lung Cu (the Dragon mountain).     Visit Fairly Mountain and Quan Ba Heaven Gate, Lunch along the way, Drive back to Hanoi

08.00 AM: After your breakfast, our driver will then take you back to Hanoi. Along the way, you will walk shortly to Fairy Mountain which is called “Nui Doi Co Tien”. This attraction is so beautiful and fascinating that local ethnic people have adored and preserved the legend of the fairy for many generations.

We will also stop at a famous viewpoint overlooking a Red Dao village which is Quan Ba Heaven Gate along the way. The panorama is simply spectacular and fantastic with mountains encasing the rice terraced fields and a few scattered settlements. 

We will then have lunch on the way and arrive Hanoi in the late afternoon.

Catching your first glimpse of the Dong Van plateau at a spectacular spot - Quan Ba Heaven Gate

Quan Ba Heaven Gate is the first gateway to the global geological park of Dong Van stone plateau. The story behinds the name is in 1939, the French built a huge door made of 150cm thick wood at the gates of heaven. Today the gate is no longer and replaces with a sign in both Vietnamese and English words: "Cong Troi Quan Ba". This is definitely the most ideal place to have a glimpse of the Dong Van plateau, looking backwards downhill, the zigzag road weaving between clouds and mountains.

Quan Ba Fairy Mountain (also known as Twin Mountains) is one of the highlights of the land Ha Giang which stands out from the crowd for its wild scenery, majestic nature and endless range of limestone mountains.
