Vietnam - The Land of Timeless Charm!

Hue

Hamburger Hill was yet another highly controversial battle in the Vietnam War. The original name is Dong Ap Bia, and was located in the A Shau Valley near the border of Laos. The hill was dubbed Hill 937 because of its elevation, and then named Hamburger Hill in reference to the way those who fought on the hill got “chewed up like a hamburger”. The Battle for Hamburger Hill left such a big mark on the American psyche that it has appeared in films and documentary series. It wasn’t just one of the bloodiest moments in the Vietnam War, but it marked the turning point in strategy and public opinion towards the conflict - and could even have contributed to the beginning of the end for the armed resistance against the communist forces in the country.
