Punakha is the former ancient capital of Bhutan and this place is located in western Bhutan. In 1955, the government decided to move the country’s capital from Punakha to Thimphu.

While Spring season (March-May) is the ideal time for flowers in bull bloom, September to November which is the time of the fall season is an excellent time for trekking and photography.
