Maimoon Palace
This is a royal palace of the Sultanate of Deli that is also one of the most majestic palaces in Indonesia, making it a well-known landmark in Medan, North Sumatra. The building has two floors with three parts: the main building, the left wing and the right wing. Though it is still occupied by members of the sultan’s family, visitors can admire the main room with the lavish inauguration throne, a collection of royal items, various weapons or dress up in traditional Malay costume for a photo. For some architecture lovers, Maimoon Palace is an amazing place to marvel at the unique interior design from Malay, Islamic, Spanish and Italian influences.
