Semenggoh Orangutan Center
A visit to Semenggoh Orangutan Center is a once in a lifetime experience to see the semi-wild orangutan, one of Borneo’s endangered species. Just some 20 kilometers south of Kuching, this center is home to numerous baby orangutans and mature ones roaming freely within a large area of the amazing untouched rainforest. There, these characteristic apes will be trained and reintroduce back into the jungle life. Visitors to the Semenggoh can join a forest tour with a ranger in search of seeing wild orangutans in the trees, but for a golden chance to get up close with these orangutans, you should visit during feeding time on the platform.
