After having breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport for a domestic flight to Bagan.     Morning walk around Minanthu village, afternoon sail up Irrawaddy river to visit Kyauk Gu U Min temple

Drive to Minnanthu village and take a stroll and explore real local life and culture. See how the villagers go about their day to day activities like collecting sesame seeds, weaving cloth and spinning cotton. There is also a silversmith shop where they make their own silver jewelry. You are to keep on walking to Lay Myat Hnar complex to experience the layout of brick monastery compound and monastic life in Bagan.

In the afternoon, we will sail down the Ayeyarwaddy River to reach Kyauk Gu U Min, a cave temple with excellent sandstone carvings and giant Buddha images. Splendid natural settings blend perfectly with antique humans' construction, surely an ideal place to enjoy dusk.

River trip to explore the cracked rock cave temple of Kyauk Gu U Min

Drive to the banks of the Irrawaddy River and board in a private wooden motorboat on Aye Yar Jetty for upriver sailing to Kyauk Gu U Min, a remote temple located in quieter side of Bagan. The unique beauty of the temple appreciated by floral designed entrance, exquisite stone carvings depicting religious figures, inner-wall Buddha statues and the notable feature of light wells. Excellent insight into authentic Minanthu village

Minanthu village, to the east of Bagan, is the place which gives you an excellent insight into the traditional daily life of local people. Taking a walk in the village and you will see people in their daily work: collecting water from well, harvesting sesame seeds, weaving cloth, spinning cotton, making cheroot & silver jewelry, etc.  Don't hesitate to say "Mingalabar" (which means "Hello" in Burmese) and the friendly villagers will always be very happy to share you their ways of living through inside stories. It is also nice to visit the nearby temple Lay Myat Hnar monastic complex. The shining white exterior with old paintings coverring interior walls will surely leave you a great lasting impression.

    Drive to visit sugar factory and Mt. Popa

After having breakfast, we spend one hour driving from Bagan to Mt. Popa. It is believed that Mt. Popa is the core of an extinct volcano last active 250000 years ago. The fertile earth on the slope and the surrounding plains has covered with a large number of rare plants such as orchids and a profusion of tree. Perhaps, the best feeling is when we reach the top of Mt. Popa after 30- minute climbing up and cherish the breath-taking views of surrounding landscape. Near Mt. Popa, we can visit the sugar Factory to know how they make sugar from palm tree. In the afternoon, we then drive back to your Bagan hotel for relax.

Trek up and enjoy spectacular views on the top of the holy Mt. Popa

Mt Popa - a solitary peak topped by gold stupas, is well-known as the birth place of Myanmar’s ‘nats’ or spirits. (50 kilometers southeast from central Bagan ~ 1.5 hours to get there by car). To reach the top, you need to remove shoes and socks and climb the 777 steps to the shrine at the top of the peak.  Along the way, there are a multitude of cunning monkeys expecting treats. Sometimes these mischivous hosts can get a little aggressive so it's recommended to take well care of your possessions. Enjoy your reward once conquering the climb with with stupas glistening gold and nothing-can-beat views from the top.

After a hearty breakfast, we drive out the city to Sagaing region and visit temple-topped Sagaing hill. Here we will access to visit U Min Thonze Cave Temple, a distinctive site with 35 cave entrances so sunlights could easily sneak through and shine out 45 beautiful gilded Buddha images in a crescent-shaped colonnade inside. This morning we get up early for a relaxed stroll along Irrawaddy river bank and get closer to riverbank life. You will also visit a local market nearby in which it seems only you a foreigner in between talkative villagers trading bunch of local products. Next then, if you desire for more positive experience, we will get back in car for a 45-minute drive to sleepy town of Paleik and explore the well-known snake temple (Hmwe paya). Here you could join important daily ceremony of snake washing with local devotees for good health and lucks in return. As giant snakes here are quite happy and nice that anyone could touch and hold. They are totally safe for your peace of mind. Outside the temple, take in some more local insights with jungle-covered ancient ruins and rural village scenes. On the way back to Mandalay, don't miss the chance to dash into Kuthodaw pagoda, frequently known as “The World’s Biggest Book”with great collection of well-preserved 729 marble slabs inscribed with Buddhist teachings and Shweinbin monastery to witness impressive wood carving architecture as well as daily life routines of local monks. Enchanted by Mandalay - the city of fine arts

Surrounded by dozens of monasteries and pagodas, Mandalay is described for a long time as the city of arts, architecture and significant charms  in Myanmar. Passing the 40km-long way by car and boat to Pahtodawgyi Pagoda, your mind will soon be filled with all surprise and excitement when visiting Mingun Temple with the giganic Mingun Bell (you can gong it for some luck). On the way back from the charming pagoda, it is time for a peaceful walk exploring Mandalay Palace where the last King lived in and the nearby finely carved teak wooden Shwenandaw Monastery, followed by a visit the local workshop and learn how fine and thin gold leaves are made then plastered on to temples and Buddha statues.     Morning fly to Heho, drive to Pindaya, visit Sin Gaung Monastery, Pindaya cave and Shan paper and umbrella workshop

Transfer to Mandalay Airport to take flight to Heho. Upon arrival, together with our team, we take a 2-hour scenic drive to peaceful town of Pindaya, home of beautiful cave pagoda and Danu hill tribe. After check-in at your resort, we will visit Sin Gaung Monastery which was built at the base of Pindaya Hill for over 100 years before getting to unmissable Pindaya Cave (Shwe Oo Min cave). The Shwe Oo Min cave is a limestone natural cave at the height of 5,000 feet above sea level which is deep enough to hold an amazing collection of gilded Buddha images inside.  Upon lunch time, Shan dishes and fragrant tea are the best local specialties here we recommend you to try as we are here. Afternoon we pay a visit to a family-run workshop where you can see at close how famous Shan paper and parasols are made out all by hands. Later on get back to your hotel and enjoy calm atmosphere of Southern Shan State.

    Trek through traditional plantations and local houses in Danu village

This morning, we drive to base of hill and start trekking up the hill about 30 minutes by passing through some tea plantations and mangoes trees to Danu Village of Kyae Dwne Kone where you can experience the hill tribe’s authentic life and see villagers produce potato chips and dried leaves. The village is situated on the hill and surrounded by big bamboo forest. Proceed downhill by crossing some crab apple through some local farms and enjoy the beautiful spot of Pindaya Town and small lake. After around 30 minutes walking, we will arrive to The Yet Konge Village where Danu people are working of hand-made Bamboo hat. We shall come back to Pindaya by foot about 45 minutes or by car 10 minutes as your wish. Enjoy leisure afternoon at your hotel in a peaceful town.

Trek through Danu tribal village in Pindaya

Danu is a beautiful hillside village which offers unlikely trails for any trekking lovers through terrace- farm plantations where hill villagers cultivate oranges, damsons, potatoes, tea and various more. Trekking at your own pace and pause at anywhere you like to make random chat with locals and understand more their unique culture and daily activities.

    Transfer from Pindaya to Nyaung Shwe, en-route visit Shwe Yan Pyay Monastery, board in a motor boat and start a visit to religious, cultural and nature highlights around Inle Lake

Say goodbye to Pindaya, we will take a morning drive for 2 hours to Inle Lake. En route, you will visit Shwe Yan Pyay Monastery, a wonderful old monastery with awesome Buddha images in Nyaung Shwe (a gateway town to Inle Lake). Upon reaching the lake bank in Nyaung Shwe jetty, we step in a private board and start a fantastic trip around the tranquil lake. Travelling around the lake, you will see beautiful reflection of floating bamboo houses of Intha people who grow food on floating gardens in addition to fishing. Here you will observe lake farmers collecting crops on boats or the iconic image of leg-rowing fishermen catching fish on their long thin wooden craft. Sailling further the lake, you will also visit Ngaphechaung Monastery – the oldest and biggest monastery over Inle Lake. It is an attractive wooden monastery famous for unique architecture, impressive collection of Buddha images. From here, we proceed to PhaungDawOo Pagoda, the most important and visited destination of all Buddha believers around the lake where you could also find five 800-year-old golden images well preserved in the center. Our guide will tell you the mysterious story about these precious images.  On the way back to your lake hotel, we stop by Inpawkhon village to explore traditional lotus weaving technique and beautiful textiles in a family-run workshop. If time permits, we will also visit blacksmith and silver smith making workshops before settling in your lake hotel for nice relaxation then.

Upward the western of Shan state is the pictureque Inle Lake –  the Venice of Myanmar. Stepping off Nyaung Shwe marina, you will take a motorized boat to navigate through stilt villages, floating garderns and meet locals who spend their entire lives on the water.     Boat trip to attend 5-day market and visit Indein pagoda and village, drop by Inthar Heritage House, sunset on the lake

In the second day on Inle Lake, we board on boat again and sail toward Indein. En-route, take a chance to participate in a local 5-day market which is rotating between 5 different lakeside villages over 5-day period. The market is a unique culture point for residents all around the lake and nearby mountains to exchange not only a wide variety of colorful typical products but also their indigenous cultures. After having fun time in the vibrant market, we reach with 1- Indein village after another hour boating. Take an easy stroll through a bamboo forest before connecting the walkway up to the hilltop pagoda. After 30 minutes walking, the amazing summit comes to your sight with mesmerizing view of 1054 ruined stupas embracing the Shwe Indein pagoda in the middle. Getting closer to ancient crumbling stupas, some fallen halfly while some overgrown by little trees and moss, you are offered a golden chance to admire priceless legacy of historical architecture and rich culture dating back from 17th cemtury. From the top of the hill, enjoy great views of Indein village and the surrounding landscape before continuing on foot to observe slow pace of life at Sae Ma village.
