Take a scenic boat trip to Summer Palace
In the western outskirts of Beijing, about 15 km from the city center houses a beautiful setting of the Summer Palace, an almost 300 year-old Imperial Garden dated back from the Qing Dynasty. As a summer retreat for royal families, Summer Palace was designed to create an airy abode full of natural vibe as well as to soothe, and to please the eye. Joining a scenic boat ride on Kunming Lake located inside the palace's campus is a highlight of each route and it's a great way to experience the majestic beauty of the place. Summer and Autumn months from April to October are the best time to visit Summer Palace due to the clean, sunny, and pleasant weather as well as great offer for photographic opportunities.
