Reviews & Feedbacks about This Tour

"2-Week Custom Philippines Loop: The Hits, the Misses, and Top-Tier Support"

Our family of four (January 2026) just completed a custom 14-day itinerary through Manila, Cebu, Bohol, and Palawan. Organized by Nhi at Asia Tours, this was a fantastic way to handle a mid-range budget holiday while seeing the absolute best of the islands.

While the trip had a few logistical hiccups and some "tourist traps" to navigate, the service recovery from Asia Tours was first-class.

The Absolute Highlights

Canyoneering in Badian (Cebu): This was the peak of our trip. A huge thank you to Lets Go Trek Tours—they are the absolute best in the business. They were safety-conscious, fun, and made the Kawasan Falls experience unforgettable.

El Nido Diving: Our day in Bacuit Bay was flawlessly organized. Three fabulous dives in what seemed to be a fish super highway. We enjoyed a fabulous lunch on the boat and the crew were outstanding.

Staying at Lio Beach (Huni Lio) was a brilliant decision—great vibe for the family. Make sure you head to Alona as well.

Bohol Adventures: The ATVs at the Chocolate Hills were a massive hit. We also loved the Bellevue Resort for its ocean views.

Sabang: The Underground River is worth the visit, and the location of Daluyon Beach and Mountain Resort is simply unbeatable.

Professionalism: The vehicles were top-notch, and the drivers were safe and efficient, which is vital for those long 4-5 hour transfers.

Honest Feedback: What to Skip or Change

If you are planning a similar route, here is our "real-talk" advice:

Wildlife Ethics & Crowds: While the Moalboal sardines are impressive, there were far too many people crowding the turtles. Similarly, we found the Oslob Whale Shark experience to be overcrowded and would recommend avoiding it in favor of more natural encounters.

The "Zoo" Factor: The stops after the Loboc River cruise (Butterfly Sanctuary/Tarsier area) felt more like unethical zoo environments than conservation spots. We suggest skipping these.

Outdated Info (Virgin Island): Our itinerary included the Virgin Island sandbar in Bohol, but it has actually been closed to tourists for 1.5 years. It was disappointing that the agency didn't have this updated info, as it made that day's island hopping feel incomplete.

Ugong Rock: Unlike the Underground River, this felt skippable.

Service Recovery: Why We Recommend Asia Tours

Travel in the Philippines can be unpredictable, but Nhi and her team proved their worth when things went wrong:

Transport Errors: We had one airport transfer no-show and a missed flight due to an incorrect pick-up time on the itinerary. Asia Tours didn't make excuses—they refunded us fully for the inconvenience and the new flights.

Hotel Issues: At Down South 118 in Oslob, there was a room mix-up. Even though it wasn't Asia Tours' direct fault, they stepped in and arranged a refund for the mistake.

The Verdict

Nhi is an excellent planner who listens to your needs. Despite a few "hit and miss" attractions and a scheduling error, the company’s honesty and willingness to fix mistakes made them a joy to work with. We would recommend Asia Tours whole-heartedly for a family adventure! Belinda Gremmo - Australia
