Bohol Chocolate Hills
Spreading over a large area of 50 square kilometers in the Bohol’s towns of Carmen, Batuan, and Sagbayan, more than a thousand bare cone-shaped hills in chocolaty brown color make up the majestic landscape of the famed Chocolate Hills that is sometimes considered the “Eight Wonder of the World”. Though varying in size from 30 to 120 meters in height, these hills are almost covered in grass and surrounded on the base by lush and verdant trees. The best place to admire this awesome natural beauty is from the viewing deck of the Chocolate Hills Complex in Carmen and at the Sagbayan Peak. If you want to see the hills when they look like giant chocolate kisses, make a trip to Bohol in the dry season in the Philippines lasting from late November to May.
