San Augustin Church
San Agustin Church in Manila, also known as the Immaculate Conception Parish, is an ancient Roman Catholic church set within the historic walled city of Intramuros. As the oldest stone church in the country, this Spanish colonial constructed structure was designated as part of Baroque Churches of the Philippines, a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Visitors to San Agustin Church will be impressed by the massive façade and ornate hall interior that is filled with graceful trompe l’oeil frescos on the vaulted ceiling. You will also see many objects of cultural merit and great historical inside the church, such as huge and beautiful chandeliers from Paris, a 16th-century crucifix or the choir seats with 17th century ivory inlays.
