Bamboo rafting crossing Cangkuang Lake

Located in Garut Regency, West Java, Cangkuang Lake is an amazing place to get out of tourist trails and enjoy an authentic local experience. Upon arrival at the lake, you will get on a rustic bamboo raft that crosses the lake to the island on the other side. There your local guide will introduce you to the customary village Kampung Pulo with only six ancient traditional houses painted white and yellow and roofed with brick tiles. It’s very nice to walk around and hear the stories from the residents. You can also explore a small centuries-old Hindu temple and a Muslim tomb nearby.
