Sikidang Crater
Molded from volcanic activity in the plateau, Sikidang Crater is one of the most visited places in Dieng. Once you enter the crater complex, you can immediately smell the sulfur in the air and see thick mist surrounding the plateau. Sikidang Crater is a large pool of water mixed with gray mud bubbling and smoking all time that you can watch the phenomenon up close in the back of the fences. There are also other small craters with the smoke creeping out and several inactive craters in the area. More than some photo opportunities, this is a fascinating place to witness an extraordinary nature experience.
