Cangkuang Temple
Nestled under the shady foliage in the village of Kampung Pulo, Cangkuang Temple is a small 8-century Hindu temple that is dedicated to god Shiva. Found to be broken into pieces, the temple was refurbished with 60% material derived from the new materials in 1976. Inside the sanctum, there is a small stone statue of Shiva and a carving of Nandi’s head, while the roof is adorned with linga pinnacles in three tiers. Next to the temple, you will see an ancient Islamic tomb of Arif Muhammad who was believed as the founder of Kampung Pulo and a small museum with some prehistoric artifacts and relics.
